Coding Examples

IGF: added slideshow and showing footer ticker.

Center for Next Generation of Materials by Design. I coded this site from a template.

6 intranet sites upgraded to html5.

NREL Science and Technology.  I advocated for and added the accordions to this page. The content representative previously had a long, scrolling page of report titles. I knew the user would become overwhelmed with it and I suggested that we segment the content.

Technical Assistance filtering matrix.  Here is a project I created for the client, but it never went to production. However, it shows my work on creating a card-sort filtering system. Users can search on multiple filters and the information reflows.

Policies, Procedures, Forms.  Here is an example of a sortable table I built. It is meant for NREL employees to be able to quickly find a procedural form by title, date uploaded, keyword, or category. I was in charge of this version of the policies, procedures, and forms HTML pages for several years. After this, I was in charge of transitioning this content into Drupal while I worked in tandem with the Drupal developer to advocate for user needs in the new user interface.

I've managed long JSON object files when I was in charge of managing the HTML on the policies, procedures, and forms at NREL.

Troubleshooting a site using the developer tools to inspect the code, validate the HTML, then perform link check with an addon. In this video I'm working on a site I hand-built for NREL's intranet, theSOURCE. https://jessica-sams.tinytake.com/sf/MzQ2ODBfMjk0NTEy
